In 2004 Sean Morley set out from Falmouth to solo circumnavigate the British Isles - England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. The 4,500 mile, 6 month trip was the longest journey ever undertaken in British waters and included all inhabited islands of UK and Ireland (excluding the Channel Islands). The trip ran clockwise, with daily updates posted by email to the original expeditionkayak.com website (which was built specifically for this expedition by Dominic Miles at Shout Websites). Morley has since moved to the United States and is based in California, where he has worked as a sea kayak instructor in the San Francisco area for many years.
