James Castrission and Justin James completed the first kayak expedition across the Tasman Sea in 2007-08. Their kayak Lot 41 was designed by Rob Feloy. They departed Forster, Australia on 13 November 2007 and arrived in New Plymouth, New Zealand 62 days later, having covered 3,318 km. The longest trans-oceanic kayaking expedition completed by two paddlers. Documented in their book Crossing the Ditch.
