Four members of a British team completed Bodo to Nordkapp (480 miles) using newly designed Valley Nordkapp kayaks. The Valley Nordkapp's design principles - skeg-only steering, hard chine, low rear deck, full bulkheads - defined what would become known as 'The British Style' of expedition sea kayak and influenced kayak design worldwide for the next 50 years.
